Title Description

GID 7.7.2b (beta)

Title Description

The latest beta version of the general purpose pre-processor <a href="ftp://gid.cimne.upc.es/pub/gid_adds/Windows/" target=blank> GID</a>. Now it is possible to prepare data with GID and then analyze them by ATENA. ATENA-GID interface contains support for construction process as well as discrete reinforcement. Discrete reinforcement can be defined totally independently in GID as truss elements, which are then imbedded in ATENA into the solid model.



HASP Driver Command Line Installation v. 5.86

Title Description
Download this driver if you are experiencing any problems with ATENA hardlock. This version supports Windows 7 and fixes some problems with HASP on 64bit computers. Unpack it, e.g., using WinZip, and then follow the installation guidelines below:
    A
  1. 1. Unplug the hardlock from the computer.
  2. 2. Use the new haspdinst program. Copy it into some directory and in this directory type the following command:
    haspdinst -fr -kp
    This should fully uninstall any drivers.
  3. 3. Now install the driver using the same program in the same directory by typing the following command:
    haspdinst -i
  4. 4. Now attach the hardlock to the computer. At this point it should not try to do any additional installations. If yes, something is probably still wrong.
  5. 5. Try to run ATENA. If the key still can not be found even after restarting your computer, you may try the alternative sequence B below.
    B - alternative sequence if A does not solve the problem
  1. 1. Follow steps 1.-2. from the sequence A above, then switch the order of steps 3. and 4.
  2. 3. Connect hardlock.
  3. 4. Install the driver using the same program in the same directory by typing the following command:
    haspdinst -i
  4. 5. Try to run ATENA.


HASP Driver Command Line Installation v. 5.95

Title Description
Download this driver if you are experiencing any problems with ATENA hardlock. Unpack it, e.g., using WinZip, and then follow the installation guidelines below:

Fire Load Patch for ATENA 4.2.7

Title Description

Download and install this patch if you are experiencing problems with ATENA 4.2.7 transport analysis when the "Fire Boundary" condition is applied, e.g., unexpected negative temperatures.

This patch is intended for ATENA 4.2.7-4.2.7c. If you have ATENA 4.2.7d or later, you do NOT need this patch - the fix is already included since that version.

To check if the fix solves your problem, please
1. go to the ATENA installation directory (typically, C:\Program Files\CervenkaConsulting\AtenaV4)
2. make a backup copy of the file CCStructuresTransport.dll
3. unzip the downloaded archive and overwrite CCStructuresTransport.dll with the unpacked version
4. re-run the problematic analysis

HASP Network License Manager 8.32

Title Description
Download and install this software if you are experiencing problems with ATENA network hardlocks. This software is to be installed on the computer where ATENA Hasp hardlock key (should be red)is attached.

If you are installing this software on Windows 2000/NT/XP systems it is recommended to install it as a service. This choice will appear during the installation process.

Is is recommended that the latest HASP driver 5.50 is installed on the computer where hardlock is attached as well as on the client computer running ATENA.

If you have more WR licences on your site, it is neccessary to configure a nethasp.ini file with the IP address of the licence server in the ATENA program directory. See the comments of the NH_SERVER_ADDR = line in the [NH_TCPIP] section.



ATENA 4.1.3g Patch

Title Description
A patch for ATENA 4.1.x (older than 4.1.3g) to fix a problem with dead weight in ATENA 3D. The problem did NOT occur in ATENA-GiD, AtenaWin, or ATENA 2D. Please download and run the following installation file: ATENA_V413g_Patch_Install.exe.

ATENA 4.1.4a Upgrade

Title Description
Upgrade from ATENA 3.3.2 and later to 4.1.4a for users with a valid maintenance agreement. Please download and run the installation file: ATENA_V414a_Upgrade_Install.exe.

Besides many corrections and improvements based on user suggestions, problems and comments, this version includes the following improvements compared to 4.1.4a:

  • new features in concrete material models based on the Modified Compression Field theory of Prof. Collins
    • compressive strength reduction due to cracking
    • shear strength of cracked concrete based on aggregate interlock
    • alternatively compression and shear strength can be arbitrarily specified by user defined laws
  • improved ATENA-GiD interface. This interface that is used mainly in ATENA Science has been significantly improved to make it much easier for users to exploit the extensive capabilities of the advanced ATENA Science product.

ATENA-GiD Interface and Examples Build 2616 (for Atena 4.1.4)

Title Description

The package contains script files and examples for interfacing GiD with ATENA. Download the installer to your computer and run it.

The subdirectory AtenaV4 in the GiD subdirectory "problemtypes" will be overwritten by files necessary for ATENA-GiD communication. Moreover, the GiD examples in Examples\ATENA Science\ATENA-GiD and Examples\ATENA Science\Demo will also be overwritten (can be deselected). If selected, the ATENA Science documentation will also be updated.

Models created with older ATENA-GiD interface always need to be transformed into the new version. If the transformation is not started automatically, please select Data - Problem type - Atena v4 - the corresponding analysis type, e.g., Static or Transport, then choose Transform.

Please also note that the format of functions for temperature dependent materials has changed. In older versions, the parameter values were defined directly by the functions, now the functions are multipliers applied to the initial values. We are sorry this can not be handled automatically during the transformation to the new version and the functions have to be re-defined manually for all temperature dependent materials.

Similarly, the SHELL and BEAM material definitions have changed. We are sorry they can not be updated automatically, please re-define and re-assign them.

In order to be able to directly launch ATENA analysis and ATENA post-processing directly from GiD the following environmental variables are to be defined on your computer. Normally, they are set by the installer (the computer has to be rebooted after installation to complete the settings), but in case of problems or when updating from an older version manually they can be defined or corrected by hand:
SET AtenaWin="C:\Program Files\CervenkaConsulting\AtenaV4\AtenaWin.exe"
SET AtenaResults2GiD="C:\Program Files\CervenkaConsulting\AtenaV4\A2G.exe"

Where the path should point to the appropriate location, where the programs are installed.

GiD versions starting from 7.7.2b are supported and version 8.0.9 (8.2.0b) or 9.0.4 (9.1.1b/9.1.1b x64) is recommended as well as the latest version of ATENA 4.1.4.



ATENA-GiD Interface Build 4823 (for Atena 4.2.7)

Title Description

This archive contains updated script files for interfacing GiD with ATENA.

Download the archive to your computer unpack it and then copy the subdirectory into the "problemtypes" subdirectory in the GiD directory. Any existing files should be overwritten.

Older HASP Driver Command Line Installation v. 4.99/5.22

Title Description
Download and install this driver ONLY if you are experiencing problems with the utility for upgrading an ATENA hardlock after a license extension. Typical messages reported by the HASPPROG utility are "Hardlock not found", "Error -100", or "Error -2" ). Please understand this driver only supports 32bit operating systems.
  1. Unplug the hardlock from the computer
  2. Unzip the archive into some directory and run the Hinstall.exe program. In that directory type the following command
    hinstall -r -kp -alldrv
    this should fully uninstall any drivers
  3. Now install the driver using the same program in the same directory by typing the following command:
    hinstall -i
  4. Now attach the hardlock to the computer. Run the HASP upgrading utility (haspprogXXX_Y).
  5. Try to run ATENA. If there are problems finding the key, please re-install the latest HASP drivers (5.86 or newer)
